Home Phone Features
Netspace Home Phone Features are different depending on which network you are on. Most Netspace customers will be on the Netspace Enhance network however some bundled ADSL2+ plans will be on the Netspace Complete network. Existing Netspace customers can find their network inside MyNetspace at the bottom of the "Your Plan" details in the column on the left. New customers who select a bundled ADSL2+ plan will be informed when they join if they will be on the Netspace Complete network.
Standard Features
Netspace Home Phone includes the following features as standard on the Netspace Enhance network.
- Call Waiting
- If someone else is trying to call you when you are already on the phone, use call waiting to put your current call on hold and answer the incoming call.

Call Waiting alerts you with a tone if another caller is trying to call you when you are already on the phone. You can answer the incoming call by putting your first caller on hold.
Availability: Call Waiting is automatically available to Netspace Home Phone customers with tone phones in most areas of Australia. All new services will have Call Waiting automatically turned on.
Pricing: This feature is free of monthly charges to all Netspace Home Phone customers.

- Call Forward
- Transfer calls from your home phone to a number of your choice with Call Forward.

Use Call Forward to forward calls made to your home phone to another number of your choice. You can choose to forward calls to your mobile, pager or answering service. You can also store frequent forwarded numbers under the categories of Home, Work, Mobile or Other.
Availability: Call Forward is automatically available for tone phones in most areas throughout Australia.
Pricing: Standard call charges apply for forwarded calls.

- Call Back
- If you are trying to call a number and it is engaged, use Call Back. You’ll get a call the moment the number you are trying to call is free.

If you are trying to call a number that is engaged, use Call Back. The Call Back function on your phone will keep dialling a busy number for up to 45 minutes and will alert you with a distinctive ring tone when the number you are trying to reach is no longer engaged.
Availability: Call Back is a standard feature on tone phones with distinctive ring capability in most areas throughout Australia.
Pricing: 37¢ per successful Call Back attempt. Standard call charges apply.

- Call Return
- Call Return will give you the number of your last unanswered call.

If you have missed a call, dial *10# and Call Return will inform you of the number of your last unanswered (missed) call and then allows you to call that number back by simply dialling 1.

Pricing: 37¢ per call retrieval (PLEASE NOTE: Call Return will not give you the number if the number is blocked). If you return the call by dialling 1, standard call charges apply.

- 3-Way Chat
- Use 3-Way Chat if you want to talk with two people on the one call.

3-Way Chat allows you to speak with two callers at once. One caller can exit the 3-Way call and another caller join at any time, so that other callers can participate in the phone call. You can also place one of the callers on hold so that you can speak privately with the other.
Pricing: 3-Way Chat is 55¢ per successful use plus call charges at standard rates for each call that joins into the chat.

Additional Features

- Voicemail
- Set up Voicemail and have your own personalised answering service to answer the calls that you can’t.

Pricing: Netspace Voicemail is available for $6.00 per month. There is no connection fee and you can retrieve your messages free of charge from fixed phones nationwide. Message retrieval charges apply from mobiles and payphones.

- Use this function if you want your phone to display the number calling you (excludes unlisted numbers and certain international calls). Please note, you will need a CND compatible phone or a Calling Number Display Unit to use the Calling Number Display function.

Disclosure Information: Your phone number will not be disclosed to parties you contact if you have Call or Line Blocking enabled on your phone line, or if you have a Silent Line. There are circumstances where your phone number will always be disclosed. Your phone number cannot be blocked on outgoing calls made from your phone line:
- to the emergency call service (000)
- on internet dial up calls made to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who uses a Telstra ISDN service or an 0198307 or 0198308 access number, but only where the ISP uses the Call Line Identification (CLI) for fraud prevention, billing, call management or credit control
- when you or someone else sends a text message or replies to a Talking Text Message from your Basic Telephone Service - in accordance with worldwide standards for SMS, all messages including reply messages will display the telephone number of the sender
- when you or someone else uses another carriage service provider by using a network override code

- Multiple Number
- Multiple Number can give you an additional phone number for your existing phone line. You can also bill your calls to the second number by entering a code before each call, a simple way to split your bill.

Multiple Number can give you an excellent range of options and great functionality for your phone to suit the needs of your household. You can have an additional phone number for your existing phone line, as well as the option of charging calls to your second number. You can use a separate ring tone for your new number that will alert you to who the incoming call is for and use a prefix before selected calls to charge them to the second number. This is great when dividing your bill between several people. You can also implement the call forward facility which may be applied to each number independently.

- Call Control
- Call Control allows you to restrict certain types of calls made from your home or business phone. You can choose to bar outgoing STD, international, 1900 or local calls.3

- If you have numbers you call frequently, you can use Abbreviated Dialling to store and dial numbers using a one or 2 digit number.

- Delayed Hotline allows you to call a specific number, without dialling, by just simply picking up the phone.

- Smart Ring

- Caller ID displays your phone number to the people you are calling.

Turn Caller ID on to display your phone number to the people you are calling. The called phone will only display your phone number if it has that capability. Once Caller ID has been turned on you can still withhold your phone number on a call by call basis by dialling 1831 before dialling the called number. If Caller ID has not been turned on as a feature you can still send the phone number on a call by call basis by dialling 1832 before dialling the phone number to be called.
